Summit Shah MD Discusses Dental Allergies

When one discovers they have an allergy, the most common step to take is to get rid of the food or material that causes the allergic reaction. But there have been questions as to whether one can experience dental allergy and if the reactions that patients experience after some dental procedures can be described as dental allergies. Many experts including Summit Shah MD have conducted research into this question and the results are that indeed, one can suffer dental allergies. To understand how to deal with dental allergies, here is a preview into some of most common oral hypersensitivity situations.

Allergy due to root canal sealers

Zinc oxide is the most recommended root canal sealant and allergy arising due to the material is not so common. But for the few who might have experienced prolonged reactions after a procedure to treat their root canal, getting an alternative solution would help prevent further reactions. To patients who experience allergic reactions from zinc sealant, they can use walling ford, CT, which was introduced as an alternative to zinc that is also less likely to lead to an allergic reaction.

There are also many other materials that have been used as sealants and different patients have reported reactions due to these materials, and to correct their situation they had to undergo a process to replace the material with one that is friendly.

Allergy to anesthetics

Local anesthetics are well-tolerated drugs and have for many years been used as a solution to different dental issues, but they cause adverse reactions that are allergic. Most of the allergic reactions reported are caused by mepivacaine, lignocaine, prilocaine and methylparaben. These reactions are psychogenic and are accelerated by intravascular injections. Whenever a patient experiences any sort of reaction after getting an injection of an anesthetic, they are advised to immediately seek medical assistance to solve the issue.

The latex fruit syndrome

People who are allergic to latex products also suffer from hypersensitivity whenever they take some foods (most commonly fresh fruits). Fruits like passion fruit, pineapple, papaya and kiwi are the most common suspects in this case. If you experience allergic reactions after taking any of these foods you should immediately inform your dentist about the problem so you can be assisted where possible.

Are oral hygiene products also included?

Yes, some oral hygiene products are also included in the list of products that can cause hypersensitivity. Most mouthwashes and toothpastes come flavored with ingredients like cinnamon, eugenol and peppermint, which are potential allergens. You need to pay attention to these ingredients while buying oral hygiene products to help protect your dental health.

When experiencing mild reactions, it could prove challenging to tell whether indeed you are suffering from an allergy. The issue could be revealed once the reaction gets bigger and your system is widely affected. But you should not allow it to reach an extreme high level, so just make sure you take action immediately you notice even a slight change and you will protect yourself from severe effects emanating from allergic reactions.

Rocco Basile On The Increasing Need For Preventative Dental Care

Rocco Basile is the founder of Avo Construction, a Tribeca, New York full-service construction, general contracting, and management firm. Mr. Basile was born into a construction family and founded Avo after many successful years in the Brooklyn real estate market.

Mr. Basile feels strongly that preventative dental care is the number one way to keep your dental health intact. His interests in fitness, sports, and health have led him to put preventative care at the forefront for his employees, family, and clients.

Rocco Basile, the founder of Avo Construction, isn’t interested in just construction and New York real estate. His interests in health, wellness, and fitness have allowed him to learn that preventative care is the most important part of overall health. Dental health is also an important part of maintaining a professional look when working with clients, buyers, and developers. Mr. Basile is also adamant that fresh breath and clean teeth reflect well on you and your organization and bolster your confidence, which can help you succeed in the workplace, no matter your profession.

This is particularly important when it comes to dental health. Dental professionals, and Mr. Basile, all agree that daily care of your mouth and teeth is the most important thing you can do to maintain your dental health. Brushing and flossing twice a day, preferably after meals, is just as important as visiting your dentist regularly. Brushing with a soft-bristled brush and fluoride toothpaste will help keep cavities and other dental diseases at bay.

Those yearly visits are of utmost importance, too. A yearly, or bi-yearly, annual cleaning and check-up can ensure that minor dental issues don’t become major ones that require surgery, caps, root canals or other expensive and invasive procedures. As we age our gums recede, exposing the root of a tooth. This can lead to painful sensitivity and compromise the integrity of the teeth. Long term root exposure can even cause a tooth to lose blood flow and then die. Keeping up on your dental check-ups will stop this process before it starts.

Mr. Basile also recommends preventative dental care as a way to ultimately save money. As health insurances change dental insurance is something not everyone has access to, and even if you are offered dental insurance it’s only rarely that procedures are covered 100%. By caring for your gums and teeth you are saving yourself potentially thousands of dollars in dental bills that will come due when a root canal, tooth extraction, or gum surgery becomes necessary.

Overall, Mr. Basile sees preventative dental care as an integral part of a healthy and professional lifestyle. As a real estate mogul in today’s difficult market, Mr. Basile knows that your mind, body, and teeth all need to be as strong and healthy as possible so that you can present your best face to the world. Health and wellness are a part of Mr. Basile’s commitment to excellence. He strives to be the best for himself, his family, and his clients.

We sat down for an interview with Marty recently. There was not a single question or subject left unanswered. Below you will find a snippet of our time with him.

Was school a happy time for you?

My school days were a happy time for me, yes. I enjoyed everything from high school up to my college days. I made a number of friends. Many of my friends from those days I am still in touch with. You could say that I loved being in class. I am a geek when it comes to this stuff. I love statistics. I guess my love of stats proves in my choice of career choices. I was and still am a mathlete. Math came easy for me.

The subject of economics is still my preferred subject of choice. English was okay for me. It was not something I excelled with. I am weird with school subjects. The things you least expect from me are what I excel in.

How did you make your mark fresh out of college?

I did a number of things. I got involved with municipal finance early on. My schooling helped me with this. I dealt with some of the hardest principles in math. It prepared me for my first job. I got thrown into the deep end. I managed to survive. I was one of the youngest department Vice Presidents Meridian Capital Markets had. This was to my advantage. I got to see the corporate side of things very quickly. I do not subscribe to the corporate side of things. It is a good learning tool. It teaches you there is another perspective to consider, no matter what the situation is. You may not agree with the principles, but the lessons are invaluable.

Did you ever have a bad day when you first started out?

I am fortunate in this respect. I have never had a bad day. Some people go to work and do not like being there. I can not say the same. I still do not have a bad day 20 years in. Every work day brings me much joy. I consider myself to be lucky.

Do you ever have days when you have to motivate yourself to get out of bed?

I have these days, like everyone else. There are days when I need the motivation to get through. I find the subject of economics thrilling. The subject of economics is my primary motivation. There is my desire to learn more and improve my skills. This is my second biggest motivation. I am good after this.

What excites you in this world?

I am turned on by analysis and research. Keeping my mind on business is what keeps me going. Commitment to research is very important to me. It needs to be backed up at all times. Seeing my team go into action and do the research, this is what brings a smile to my face. I like commitment. My commitment is not enough. I have to see the commitment coming from the people I work with. I like details. Details are another thing that turns me on.

What brings you the greatest joy outside of work?

I do not believe there is anything right now. I love the company I work for. Everything comes from a longstanding view of commitment. I love how my company is taking the time to embrace this. We have a tremendous fan base. As long as the fans are happy, this is all that matters. I am so proud of everything we do. I only hope our drive and commitment to our customers will continue into the next few decades.

John Ross Jesensky Discusses the Need to Encourage Greater Accessibility to Dental Care

doctor-563429_960_720There are many benefits to the fact that dental insurance and medical insurance tend to be separated from one another, but that does not mean the system is not without its drawbacks. In some circumstances, people in difficult financial situations are more likely to make the decision to forgo dental insurance in favor of medical insurance in the hope that they will simply be able to avoid any major issue requiring a dental professional’s attention. John Ross Jesensky has noted that this is a mistake on a variety of levels, especially since forgoing regular visits to the dentist makes it much more likely that a more serious — and much more costly — issue will arise.

Without getting into a detailed cost-benefit analysis of dental insurance, Jesensky believes that those without insurance should not compound the issue by avoiding the dentist altogether. Cleanings and checkups tend to be very affordable, and those who still feel they cannot afford a dental visit can opt for the free dental services that are often offered by dentists during various times throughout the year. From a financial perspective, it ought to be quite evident that any initial cost associated with dental care or dental insurance is well worth the price and is an investment entirely worth making regardless of an individual’s fiancnial circumstances.

Dr. Raouf Farag IVF Growth in 2016 Expected

dr-raouf-farag

Through the use of In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF), over 4 million babies have been born to parents who may have not been able to conceive a child through any other means. The development and continued use of IVF has therefore provided couples dealing with infertility or other complicating factors a viable option through which they can give birth to a child that is a biological relative.

While the procedure itself has existed for several decades now, it is only in relatively recent years that IVF has experienced a significant degree of growth. In the United States, for example, more than 1 percent of the babies born are the result of the IVF procedure, with many doctors predicting that IVF’s growth will only continue at a significant rate over the years to come.

In 2016, many doctors specializing in IVF feel that there are a number of factors that will make the growth rate stronger than ever, with leading experts such as Dr. Raouf Farag and others pointing out that patients considering an IVF procedure will be able to benefit from an incredibly high standard of professional care along with significant medical advancements.

Dr. Farag, an obstetrician and gynecologist who is considered a leading expert on issues relating to infertility, cited a wide range of factors that have influenced the recent growth in demand for IVF procedures. The doctor, whose practice is located in Gosford on Australia’s Central Coast, provides comprehensive services and medical care that ensures patients are attended to throughout the entirety of their pregnancy.

An innovator in every sense of the word, Dr. Farag has been a driving force in improving the efficacy of IVF while also ensuring the comfort of patients throughout every stage of the procedure. According to several infertility experts, the recent growth in IVF can be attributed to a number of general factors in addition to some of the more highly specific factors that will be discussed in detail in the sections that follow. The general factors most frequently identified are as follows:

  • An overall increase in population means an increase in the number of couples dealing with infertility
  • Patients are more informed of their options and have greater access to detailed information regarding the IVF procedure
  • Medical advancements and innovations have improved the effectiveness of the procedure and have improved patient comfort at every stage

Of course, these are simply some of the most general factors influencing the growth of IVF, and Dr. Farag and others have a much more nuanced view of the circumstances surrounding the continued growth of IVF. In order to best understand the reason for IVF’s recent surge in growth and the rationale behind future growth projections, an in-depth look at the many issues surrounding infertility along with an appreciation of recent innovations ought to be particularly helpful.

What Are the Causes of Infertility?

Most couples seeking IVF do so as the result of a variety of issues causing infertility or a great deal of difficulty in conceiving, and these issues may affect both men and women. Among men, low sperm count is often the motivating factor that leads couples to seek IVF, though there is a wider range of issues that can cause infertility in women, including blockages or damage to the Fallopian tubes or the lack of Fallopian tubes altogether. In addition to issues relating to the Fallopian tubes, endometriosis is also a common cause of infertility that ultimately leads patients to explore their options through the use of IVF.

There has also been some speculation that there may be an increasing variety of external causes that contribute to the rate of the infertility issues that may make it more difficult for certain couples to conceive. While these external causes have not been definitively confirmed as either directly or indirectly linked, there is some initial indication that there is at least the potential that a causal link will ultimately be established in the near future. The existence of IVF is critical and offers couples a viable option to rectify issues stemming from infertility.

Why Are More Patients Seeking IVF?

ivf_scienceEven though IVF has been an established and common practice throughout the course of the last several decades, it is still the case that a great deal of progress has been made during that timeframe that has contributed to an increasing number of patients seeking IVF. In addition to the medical care advancements that have occurred over the years, IVF has also benefited from the simple fact that more and more patients are able to share their insight and experience with others who may be considering IVF.

It has long been established that IVF is a safe and effective procedure, and it is made even safer when the medical practitioner is involved from the very earliest stages right through the postnatal period. With this kind of comprehensive care and oversight, the safety of the procedure is enhanced to a significant degree and the patient can expect to enjoy a greater likelihood of achieving an entirely positive outcome from IVF.

One of the most often overlooked benefits of IVF is the fact that it often eliminates the need for a patient to undergo a surgical procedure that corrects Fallopian tube damage or blockage. In fact, the IVF procedure is believed to have reduced the need for this kind of surgery by half, which has obvious benefits for the patient and eliminates the possibility of enduring the complications possible during any surgical procedure.

How Have Doctors Like Dr. Farag Contributed to IVF’s Continued Growth?

There are always varied influences that contribute to growth in any industry, and it is certainly the case that a number of outside factors have played a significant role in the continued growth of IVF. One of the factors driving the growth of this procedure occurs within the medical field, as doctors such as Dr. Farag have done tremendous work in promoting IVF’s effectiveness by providing consistently exceptional care to patients under their supervision.

Through the innovations made by Dr. Farag and others, patients have now come to expect comprehensive care services that begin with the initial consultation and medical screenings and last all the way through to postnatal care. While IVF may indeed reduce the likelihood that a patient requires a surgical procedure, there are still instances in which it does become necessary and the majority of patients feel most comfortable working with the same doctor throughout all of the procedures deemed necessary. Dr. Farag, for example, is an infertility doctor whose practice offers the following services relating to IVF:

  • Age-related infertility
  • Embryo transfer
  • Fibroid surgery (a minimally invasive procedure)
  • Laparoscopic surgery (for both endometriosis and tubal disease)
  • Natural Cycle IVF
  • Ovulation induction
  • Polycystic ovaries and laparoscopic drilling of ovaries
  • Premature ovarian failure

With doctors like Dr. Farag offering such varied services, patients seeking IVF can turn to a single doctor to address the underlying issues causing infertility while also overseeing all stages of the pregnancy from the initial IVF procedure to birth and, ultimately, the postnatal stage. The ability of a single doctor or medical practice to provide such a wide range of IVF-related services has resulted in a greater sense of comfort and confidence experienced by patients undergoing IVF, particularly since there is a great deal of familiarity throughout the process and there is ample time for the patient and the caregiver to develop a strong sense of trust.

About the IVF Procedure

The IVF procedure has benefited from a number of important medical advances over the years, and doctors performing IVF have fine-tuned their specific practices to ensure the greatest possible level of success for the patients they treat. Generally speaking, the IVF procedure begins with an initial consultation along with a variety of medical screenings designed to guide the doctor in developing a specific course of treatment for each individual patient.

ivfOnce the treatment cycle begins, the patient is often given medications to promote the maturation of the ovarian follicles that contain the eggs, and the doctor will also order a variety of blood tests to ensure the patient’s hormone levels are optimal for the IVF procedure. Once the ovarian follicles have been deemed by the doctor to be sufficiently mature, the patient will receive an injection that serves as the precursor to the next phase: egg retrieval and fertilization.

The outpatient procedure involving egg retrieval and fertilization is relatively brief, but patients are often advised to simply focus on rest on the day of its completion. The patient’s counterpart also provides a sample at the same time, with both samples being sent to a laboratory for examination and, assuming the samples are deemed satisfactory, the IVF procedure is completed. The egg or eggs are tested to ensure they have been successfully fertilized and are then incubated before being utilized during the embryo transfer process.

Following the transfer (also known as the luteal phase), the patient will be provided with additional medications and will find out whether the IVF procedure was a success through the use of a pregnancy test administered approximately two weeks after the transfer. The doctor and patient will continue monitoring the pregnancy all the way through birth.

IVF Poised for Continued Growth

The high standard of care received by patients undergoing the IVF procedure has been an important contributing factor to the consistent growth this procedure has experienced over the years. With more and more patients seeking IVF and achieving a clearly successful outcome through an entirely comfortable experience, future patients dealing with infertility are much more likely to come into contact with people who can share their personal stories of success while using IVF.

This, along with the presence of doctors who are committed to providing comprehensive IVF services and detail-oriented medical care, ensures that IVF’s widespread use will only continue and is very likely to enjoy a much greater degree of future growth in the years that will follow. While the growth of IVF is predicted to be quite substantial in 2016, there are a number of factors that clearly indicate the procedure will only continue to grow at what appears to be an exponential rate well into 2017 and beyond.

How Patients Can Maintain Dental Health Between Appointments

Even though patients often have a fair amount of anxiety in advance of a dental appointment, they are more likely to be adversely affected during the time in between appointments rather than the time spent in the dentist’s chair. For patients who are intent on avoiding any dental work beyond the standard cleaning every six months, a bit of preventive maintenance performed on a similarly consistent basis as the properties management offered by 1 Stop Maintenance can be of tremendous value.

Most dental patients are already quite familiar with the standard guidelines suggesting that brushing should be performed twice per day and should be supplemented by flossing as well. The use of an antiseptic mouth rinse to help prevent issues relating to gum disease is another well-known strategy, but there are some other considerations patients should take into account when it comes to avoiding the kind of extensive dental work that is far more serious than a routine check-up.

One of the more overlooked aspects of dental care relates to dietary habits. Certain foods and drinks are more damaging to dental health than others, particularly those that include significant sugar content or that are highly acidic in nature. Foods and drinks such as these can be quite harmful to the enamel of the teeth and may result in the formation of cavities.

While a simple filling can correct a cavity, far too many patients neglect to seek timely care until the problem worsens to the point that a root canal becomes necessary. Patients are better served by following the example of One Stop Maintenance by utilizing every possible strategy while performing preventive maintenance.

Unitox Demonstrates Importance of Innovation in Medicine

Doctors operating in all manner of medical fields have a tremendous opportunity to drive innovation and improve the level of care patients receive, particularly when one considers the fact that doctors are in the unique position to identify an inefficiency and to work on creating a solution. A perfect example of a doctor taking full advantage of this opportunity can be found in Unitox, a specialty syringe designed for administering BOTOX.

The specialty syringe known as Unitox is the invention of Dr. Sid Solomon, a cosmetic dentist who is also the founder of the Center for Cosmetic, Implant and Neuromuscular Dentistry. Dr. Solomon recognized the opportunity before him when he observed the clearly inefficient practice of using syringes designed for Insulin during BOTOX procedures. In order to administer BOTOX while using these syringes, doctors were forced to convert the Insulin units to BOTOX units, a time-consuming process that could also lead to inaccurate measurements.

After making this simple observation, Dr. Solomon began developing a syringe that would eliminate the need for doctors to convert measurements during BOTOX procedures, thereby allowing doctors to focus on the care they provide to their patients rather than working on unit conversion formulas. The dentist then had his syringe patented and approved for use by the FDA, which has since been of great assistance to both doctors and patients alike.

The work of Dr. Solomon underscores the importance of innovation in the medical field. Rather than bemoaning the inefficiency of an established practice, Dr. Solomon set out to find a better way to serve patients through innovation and creativity. This is an important lesson for all doctors as well as other medical professionals, and it shows that a complacent approach can result in patients failing to receive the highest possible level of care. If more doctors follow Dr. Solomon’s lead, the medical industry will continue to move forward with new innovation that is extremely beneficial to patients.

Groza Learning Center Discusses 2016 SAT Changes

As one of the most important exams a student will take during their academic career, the SAT and ACT are correctly viewed as tests worthy of detailed and thorough preparation. As a result, there has been a great deal of material created over the years for the purpose of test preparation, but recent changes to the SAT have led many to wonder whether the previously available material concerning this critical standardized test is still useful. Given the nature of the changes, it is absolutely true that updated materials are necessary as a part of a strategy to achieve the best possible outcome on the SAT, but there are far more questions regarding recent modifications to the SAT that are likewise deserving of consideration.

Scott Groza, the founder of the Groza Learning Center, recently addressed some of the more pressing concerns relating to the SAT’s newly implemented alterations, offering his professional insight regarding the following questions, among others:

• Will the changes to the SAT have an adverse influence on student performance?

• SAT or ACT? Which is the better option?

• What is the most effective test-preparation strategy?

• What materials are available for test preparation?

As an educator and a co-founder of a learning center that offers specific courses on SAT and ACT test preparation, Groza has a unique understanding of the recent changes to the SAT and the impact those changes may have on student performance.

Will the Changes to the SAT Influence Student Performance?

… the publishers of test preparation guides have had more than enough time to create new test-taking materials for students to utilize

The common refrain heard in response to the changes to the SAT is that students may not be able to properly prepare for the exam in the same way as before. Since the last change to the SAT was over 10 years ago, the belief is that there was a decade’s worth of data guiding preparation for previous versions of the exam. Without the same amount of data, many students are worried that they will not be able to benefit in the same way they would have in the past through the use of test preparation materials.

This is not as pressing an issue as it may seem on the surface. According to Groza, the College Board (the organization responsible for creating the SAT) has already released a 210-page document that goes into great detail regarding every aspect of the test along with four practice exams that reflect the recent changes made to the SAT. Since this official material has already been released and has been freely available for quite some time, the publishers of test preparation guides have had more than enough time to create new test-taking materials for students to utilize.

Groza noted that students will have access to the kind of high-quality materials that make it more than possible to properly prepare for the SAT. While emphasizing the importance of preparation as it relates to success on either exam, Groza also pointed out the fact that test scores on both the SAT and ACT are scaled according to the performance of all test-takers. Since the scores take overall performance into account, the fact that the test is new should have no undue influence on a student’s score when all students are taking the same test and have had access to the same materials.

SAT or ACT? Which Is the Better Option?

sat-actEven with access to perfectly adequate preparation materials for the new SAT, many students have wondered whether having access to more ACT preparation materials would benefit their performance. The fact that the tests are scaled — along with the fact that it is the quality of the preparation that matters most — eliminates this possibility, so students should not view one test as better than the other without evaluating how each test suits their personal skill set. Ultimately, the better option is the one that a student feels most comfortable with, so Groza recommends that students make a decision to take one or the other and to simply focus their energy on preparing for the test they have selected.

What Is the Most Effective Test-Preparation Strategy?

Each student is unique and therefore requires a unique approach to test preparation. There is no single approach that is most effective, particularly since some students will benefit from working with a group while others will experience a greater outcome through one-on-one tutoring sessions. There are even a number of students who are able to adequately prepare for the SAT or the ACT through self-guided study alone, but it remains important to point out that the most effective method for developing a strategy for test preparation includes an initial assessment for identifying individual strengths and weaknesses.

Recognizing the importance of the initial assessment, the Groza Learning Center utilizes an SAT practice test — which has been updated to reflect the most recent changes — to identify the areas a student should focus on in advance of taking the actual exam. Groza noted that this allows for the development of a program based on the most critical content areas and the order in which those content areas should be addressed. This, along with regular progress assessments, enables students to achieve an optimal score on the new SAT. Of course, the learning center uses this approach in preparing students for the ACT along with other important standardized tests students may encounter.

What Materials Are Available for Test Preparation?

As noted above, the same publishers that created the previously available SAT preparation materials have created updated materials that reflect the changes made by the College Board. These materials are based on the officially released documents made available through the College Board, meaning that the test materials should be every bit as effective as in previous years. There are certainly more preparation materials available for ACT preparation, but this does not speak to the quality of the SAT materials nor does it make a difference on a student’s ability to prepare for either test. As Groza has repeatedly pointed out, it is what the student does with the materials that matters most.

How to Overcome Anxiety and Prepare for a Dentist Appointment

It is quite easy to understand why some people feel a bit anxious as an appointment with the dentist draws near. After all, many people still hold the perception that dental procedures can be uncomfortable and may even be painful. While the perception is still fairly common, it is one that is entirely unfounded and may lead to patients missing out on necessary dental care. Even the procedures that once had a reputation for leading to significant discomfort have been so vastly improved that patients are quite surprised to find that these anxiety-inducing procedures are hardly worth the pre-appointment worry.

Even though the anxiety many patients feel before an appointment is due to erroneous or outdated beliefs about dental procedures, it does not mean that being able to allay a sense of worry in advance of the appointment is an easy task. For most people, a bit of research into the nature of the procedure they are scheduled to undergo will be more than enough to calm their nerves before heading to the office. The younger segment may benefit from an added incentive to go with the accurate information, so a baseball fan in need of dental work may be far less anxious with the promise of a dream vacation that begins with spring training transportation.

For others, the concern may be a bit greater and will require a more involved approach. This may mean speaking with a dental professional well in advance of the appointment to go over the procedure, or it may be as simple as speaking with someone who has recently undergone a similar procedure. There is another group of individuals, however, that feel a more acute feeling of anxiety that requires a more nuanced approach. When the feeling of anxiety becomes so great that it feels almost paralyzing, it is important to seek out a form of therapy that reduces these feelings so that necessary dental work can be completed.

Through the use of cognitive behavioral therapy, researchers have found that as few as six sessions can reduce anxiety to a degree that patients are able to overcome their feelings of fear in order to receive the treatment they need. In some of these cases, patients needed to have sedation before being able to undergo dental procedures. After the therapy sessions, the majority of these individuals no longer needed sedation and were far better equipped to deal with the stress they felt before their appointment.

The reason this type of therapy works so well is due to the fact that the goal is not to entirely eliminate the feelings of anxiety, but rather to help the individual cope with those feelings in a more effective manner. The anxiety will be present or will return at some point before or during the procedure, but the patient will be better equipped to manage their emotions so they are able to experience firsthand just how comfortable dental procedures are and how their fears may have been wholly based on misconceptions.

Of course, not everyone feels anxiety before a dentist appointment, but it is still necessary to understand the procedures and to prepare accordingly. Patients in need of dental care should be able to clearly outline any dental issues they may be concerned with and should be prepared to ask any questions they may have regarding their appointment. As for long-term preparation, regular dental care is obviously critical for avoiding some of the more serious dental issues, and those who brush twice daily and floss regularly are far more likely to enjoy continued dental health.
